I had this thought, this morning, as I walked from the Train Station to my office building. It was a name, actually. A name that I discovered hidden in a song that I was humming, as I walked along to work. Once I had it, I tried to think of a way to USE this name in some creative way.
Was this the name of a comedy album that I would someday want to record?
Would this be a good name for an Improv team?
Should this be a character in an improv scene or in a HIMprov show?
Is this useful as a character in the children's book that I eventually want to write?
Or is this a pseudonym that I would use to check into hotels, when I get too famous to use my own name?
The name is "Gladys Eichenbee."
And now that I know the name, I just have to figure out how to use it best.
Who IS Gladys Eichenbee?
One answer, which would be entirely correct, is that she's mentioned in The Kinks song, "Nothin' In This World Can Stop Me Worryin' 'Bout That Girl".
The lyrics go...
"Met a girl.
Fell in love.
Gladys Eichenbee."
In fact, she may have no other existence, than as a song lyric and as a discussion point in this post.
I guess I'll just file her away under "Clever Ideas That I Haven't Found A Way To Use, yet."
